What
is Chameleon Code?
Chameleon Code
is the brand name for the sets of barcode printer
command language emulators that Argox has made for its
printers.
Most barcode printers
have command languages that are specific to that brand
of printer. This creates a barrier for the customer when
they find a new product (such as Argox) that they would
like to add to their barcode printing application.
To
resolve this issue, and to make it as easy as possible
for the customer to enjoy the benefits of using Argox
printers, the talented engineers at Argox have developed
emulation codes for most of the popular barcode printers
currently on the market. Of course these emulators are
FREE.
By the way, the
development and implementation of command code emulation
is standard practice in peripheral markets. For example,
EPOS (Epson programming language) is one of the emulated
standards in the retail receipt printer market, and HPL
(HP programming language) is a standard that is emulated
in the laser page printer market.
Please refer to the
Chameleon Code Emulation Matrix to determine which
emulators are available for the Argox printer of your
choice.
