Are Your Labels Colorblind?

Traditional barcode labels feature black print on a white background.  Over the past decades, some users have migrated to black print on a colored background, or even a single-color print on a white background. Including a logo in full color required a multi-step process to print the logo and then overlay with a protective coating prior to printing the barcode. Imagine being able to affordably print prime labels with your company logo, product image, barcode and human readable in one single step!  It IS possible with Epson ColorWorks!

There are many advantages to using full color labeling, both in manufacturing and in the warehouse. From enhancing visibility to streamlining inventory management, full color labeling can reduce errors, improve label clarity and quality, and maximize efficiency. Printing these labels on the go in your business environment can also save overhead by eliminating the need to outsource. Further, Epson ColorWorks uses pigment-based inks which are resistant to abrasion, scratching and many oils and chemicals. In addition, Epson’s ColorWorks printers print exceptionally quick for a full color printer. For example, the C6000 model prints up to 5 inches of labels per second with 1200dpi resolution! Not to mention that there are no print heads or platen rollers to replace which cuts maintenance to a minimum! And if you are concerned about environmental impact, Epson offers a recycling program for the expended ink cartridges, plus Epson’s heat-free technology uses less energy than many common laser printers.
